About Me

I picked up my first guitar at 14 inspired by all the greats of guitar. I discovered a passion that has continued all my life. It has taken me overseas (UK) and around Australia as a full time professional guitarist performing just about all genres and styles of music. I have toured with all sorts of bands from being Angus in an AC/ DC show across Australia and England, to playing Jazz 6 nights a week to a 2,000 people a night in holiday resorts in the UK. Currently I'm playing in various bands including jazz, rock, and acoustic styles, as well as working freelance.

Based in Newport (last 8 years). I teach around 40 students in both electric and acoustic guitar, specialising in many genres including: Rock/Pop Jazz (including Gypsy Jazz) Folk Country and Blues.

I get a great deal of satisfaction in passing on my experience to my students and helping them improve their playing and also their enjoyment of the guitar.

What I can provide : Individual Tuition Students can choose their style of music eg. Rock, Jazz, Classical etc. I encourage everyone to pursue their individual interest because I believe this results in greater enjoyment and a higher level of motivation.
