The new Nux B5RC is the new wireless unit from Nux and now works with both passive and active instruments ranging from Electric Guitars, Bass Guitars, Ukeleles and other Instruments that have a 1/4" jack input. It uses 2.4GHz wireless technology and features a latency of less than 5 milliseconds. It also has a transmission distance of 15 meters and gives you the freedom and removes the hassles usually associated in using conventional cables.
The Nux B5RC now uses an automatic frequency matching technology eliminates cross-talk. The transmitter and receiver will automatically select the best channel for pairing ensuring that you are unbothered with such settings and can focus on playing. This completes the definition of plug and play.
Definitely built for the road and on the go, the Nux B5RC comes with a Rechargeable Charging Bag. This will allow you to charge the B5RCs while you are not using them and if there is no wall socket or USB port nearby. A full charged Charging Bag can charge the units 2 to 3 times. The average usage time of the B5RCs is 3.5 hours.
You're able to use a maximum of 4 B5RC units at one time simultaneously. If you are using other Wireless devices in the 2.4G spectrum, however, you may get interference.

NUX B5RC 2.4GHz Passive/Active Instrument Wireless
By: Carolyn Salvog on 6 September 2024I bought this system to use with my digital Aerophone AE -10 which I now use in various groups . I found that it really gave me freedom to move around ( and no cords around my feet ) !I would encourage other digital wind synthesiser players to take the plunge / and experience the difference! I’m moving into using the Robkoo R1 as well played vertically as a cyber flute / and will play wirelessly as well!

Washing Machine safe!!!
By: Lance on 22 February 2024I stupidly left the transmitter one in my pocket after a gig and then washed it! I was despondent as had to buy another set (because they are outstanding in terms of value and performance) BUT today - 1 month after the accident - it's powering up and ready to rock again (tested and works fine!) Not many products would do that - so well done Nux And if you make the same mistake DO NOT throw it away - give it time - and then you'll have a backup set - or even a pair to lend to any other guitarists in your band who need the freedom of movement these provide!!!

NUX B5RC wireless system
By: kat caton on 25 September 2023I've used this product before and decided to purchase another after mine eventually died (after many many many gigs the wiring on the receiver broke contact and couldn't be fixed as it's a sealed unit). I'm really happy with the product though. The new one had connection issues (kept dropping out) but Artists Guitars shipped me another immediately and it's working beautifully. Great service by Artist Guitars and the replacement has been used constantly over the last few weeks. Thoroughly recommend. I'd give it 5 stars, but I dropped a Star due to the inability to repair, but the price point is great, so at the end of the day it doesn't really matter.

Fully recommend!
By: Lance on 7 February 2023Picked these up to replace an older and clunkier (but "better") wireless system before playing a gig. No issues at all - so easy to use, no issues with interference or tone (I play Fishman Fluence pickups) and my other guitarist ran the 5.8GHz. These are bloody awesome - and great little charger case makes them even better. Would buy again if i needed another set.

By: Nick on 13 January 2023At first I was going to just get one of the cheapo wireless setups from amazon; but the charging case these come with made me decide to get these and glad I did - super reliable and clear connection (even through walls across the house)

Nux Wireless System
By: Chris Charters on 12 April 2022We've had other wireless systems for out instruments, but after a while they had problems sticking to a channel. You'd be halfway through a song and they'd lose connection. Not so with the NUX. As long as they are charged up, they work every time. And they work for a long time on a single charge. We use them for about three hours at a go at least. And here's the next good thing. Their case is a charging station in itself. After using them all morning, we plug them into their case and they are charged up, ready for the afternoon session, by the time we get back from lunch. You can do this three or four times before you have to recharge the case. The only problem we have had is they are not necessarily compatible with all instruments. They work fine with our guitars, ukuleles and basses, but my UBass sets up a slight hum through the amp.

Exceeds expectations!
By: Ethan on 27 January 2022This product sounds better than the new lead I bought alongside it with my transaction. I know, because I used nothing but the wireless system for a week, until I forgot to charge it one night and it died, so I had to use my cable. Which still sounded great, but I'm not kidding. This setup is worth all the money you pay for it

Nux B5RC replacement
By: Bernd Eberhardt on 8 September 2021The case of my Nux B5RC stopped charging. After reporting it to Artist Guitar, they where happy to replace it. I'm glad to have it back because it works very well Btw, it was only the case, individual I could still charge the units. I highly recommend the product and the great service Artist Guitar provides

Nux B5RC guitar wireless system
By: Mik Mateljan on 19 August 2021This wireless system works well with my basses and is very simple to get up and running. The design of the carry pouch is really clever as it acts as a charging station for the transmitter and receiver while keeping the units together in storage. So far I have only used it at home where I practice, so haven't tested how far I can stray from the receiver before signal dropout or how good the system rejects interference, but for my purposes it'll do just fine.
Artist Guitars Response
Thanks for the review and we're happy that you're satisfied with your wireless system. cheers
Excellent product
By: Mark on 18 August 2021I would like to begin by saying the people at whine about noise from this wireless unit are indeed wrong. Also made me feel like I should not buy but glad I did regardless All guitars I have are active pickups and yes already this product will go well with passive pickups but for the active player which we are around. No noise what so ever running noise gates on profiles of my Kemper. Awesome product and for the price will recommend to anyone as I do have an akg unit with a busted receiver and the price of those are ridiculous for the way they are made...
Artist Guitars Response
Thank you so much for sharing this with us and will definitely help us a lot. Cheers!
Works well with passive pickups
By: Caleb on 13 August 2021Works well with my passive only pickup instruments, makes a wireless noise with my active pickup instruments, presumably frequency interference, would still recommend as it is a great system for having fun and moving around while playing but will only work well with passive pickup instruments.

A massive upgrade to the original B2
By: Chris Rulewski on 26 June 2021I had a lot of trepidation when buying this model, as I also have the original Nux B2 model. The original worked well, however had a little "tick" occasionally with the signal, and only had a playtime of around 3 hours, so not really useable. However when playing with the B5RC's, I am very pleased with the battery life (I'm averaging an on time of 5 hours per session and they still have not gone flat on me), it's performance (very solid signal) and the convenience of being able to just charge them in their case which I can keep in my guitar case between gigs. This way I know that they are always charged and I only need to charge the case once a week or so. The technology is still very Line of Sight dependant, and since I also use 2.4ghz wireless IEM's, I need to ensure that the 2 signal path "lines" don't cross each other to prevent mini-dropouts. With all this in mind, a great upgrade from the original.

Awesome Customer Service
By: Rod on 13 April 2021I bought a set of these last year. Work very well and do what they are meant to do, lead free connection to your amp. My bass player loved them so much he bought a set himself. While removing from their charging case a small piece of plastic broke off the corner. This didn’t effect the way they worked but I let Artists Guitars know anyway. They had me send them back and replaced them straight away. Unbelievable customer service that you rarely find these days, especially when purchasing online. Can’t thank them enough. They sell some quality music gear and back it up with awesome customer service.

NU-X B-5RC wireless system
By: Robert Norwood on 29 March 2021Thankyou firstly for sending a replacement set in record time. Exemplary service. Artist Guitars have chosen well to supply the NU-X B-5RC wireless system as it is a quality product. 2 features I find very useful are the mute ( no popping on instrument change) & the charging case ( great for 'top up'during gig breaks) I recommend this and other gear you supply to my muso friends . Thx. once more. Robert Norwood

Works well on certain pickups.
By: Garry J Petrisic on 23 March 2021Bought these thinking they would be superior to my two sets of Xvive. Emits high pitch whine noise when plugged into LR Baggs I beam pickup. As soon as you increase the gain the whine is annoying. Works well on every thing else. To defeat the whine, I made a shield for the bottom of the transmitter using aluminium foil and electrical tape to around the on switch. This subdued the noise to almost inaudible without loss of clarity. Otherwise the charging station is really handy. A good product.

We appreciate the time you took to write this review. We are sorry for the inconvenience with the possible interference but please respond to the email we sent to you if there is anything we can do to further assist. Cheers.

Best value. Excellence product
By: Dang on 20 July 2020I'ved used other guitar wireless systems, but NUX B5RC is the best value in term of pricing and peformance. Worked with electric guitar and acive pickup. I had the NUX for around 3 three weeks and I am very happy with it.
Works Great and Very Convenient
By: Ken on 2 July 2020I've had these for about a week now and have used them extensively every day in my practice sessions. They have worked very reliably without any noticeable sound latency. It's also very convenient not having to use a cable. I can definitely recommend this product.
Nux B5RC 2.4GHz Passive/Active Instrument Wireless
By: Peter Dent on 27 June 2020Had problems with the Xvive U2 Wireless System I purchased from Artist Guitars and they recommended I return the Xvive to them and they would replace it with a Nux B5RC 2.4GHz Passive/Active Instrument Wireless System. I have only had the Nux for a couple of weeks but it is working well but I have not been able to test it at live gigs yet. So far it has performed really well but should to be kept well away from Modem /Routers which operate at 2.4GHz as it effects the Nux signal.
Best wireless system I’ve tried
By: Anonymous on 24 May 2020I did have the NUX B2 for a long while and had a whole bunch of issues with it and after replacing it with this I can 100% say this is the superior product. It’s built better, more feature packed, no background noise (compared to a tiny bit in the B2), has a much better system to charge it with the carrying case and is smaller which contributes to the fact that it looks nicer
Awesome
By: scott on 9 May 2020Fantastic product and quick postage as usual by Artist. The Nux B5RC have not skipped a beat and have exceeded my expectations. Use them in a room with several other wireless devices and wifi with no interference whatsoever. I get less hum out of the Nux B5RC than I do using a high quality cables in the same environment. It’s awesome to be able to sit out on the deck and practice while the amp is inside not having to fuss around with cables or use a small practice amp. The unit pairs instantly once both units are turned on and the one push to put the device on standby is a handy feature. Only negative is the battery however it’s not a major issue if used for a few hour sesh but the only thing I’ve noticed, I get about 3 hours of playing out a full charge on transmitter before requiring to plug them back into the case for awhile to continue playing. I haven’t used any other wireless guitar systems so can’t compare with others, but I’m very happy with these and would purchase again.
B5RC review
By: Sonny on 11 March 2020I bought the B5RC from Artist Guitars and had the usual quick delivery. I have a lot of guitars in the house and the B5RC worked very well with standard Fender electric and bass guitars (both passive pickups), with Artist's own electro/acoustic dreadnought (D200 CEQ) and even a cheap Aldi electric guitar The Rx unit plugged into a Yamaha amp and a Zoom G5 effects processor without any problems. No hums or other noises - very clean and with no discernable lag. I have also used the B5RC with a passive stick-on (with double-sided tape) microphone that is attached to a classical guitar. The microphone terminates in a 1/4 female plug that the Tx unit just plugs into. The Tx unit powers the mic. Very clean sound. This setup is much more convenient that having to use an external mic/stand when using a normal classical guitar (with no electrics built in). The Tx and Rx units pair up super fast - less than a second. When I first turned both units on for the first time, I saw just one quick red blink and then a steady green on both units. I thought the units were defective and were not pairing up; until I plugged both in and found that both were ready to go - very impressive compared to how kludgy Bluetooth pairing can sometimes be. Unfortunately, the B5RC does not play so well my the Yamaha Silent guitar (SLG200 Classical). I don't think the output of this guitar is passive as it has its own basic effects processor and requires a battery to work. The sound is wooly - like if you have the tone control turned down to the minimum or if there is a thick blanket between you and the speaker. I find this annoying and disappointing after enjoying the crystal clear sound with the other guitars. I also get a constant soft humming and this humming gets louder if I move the guitar( with the B5RC plugged in) to within one or two meters of my home's network router. The SLG200 normally works flawlessly with a cable - no noise at all and clean sounding. Note that I do NOT experience this humming or network router interference problem with the other guitars. I really want to have this silent guitar used on stage without a cable but it's a definite no go with the B5RC because of the sound quality and noise issues. I don't know if the problems is specific to the Yamaha/B5RC combination or if the B5RC may not play nice with other active type instruments/systems. The Artist dreadnought (D200 CEQ) has a Fishman system (I assume this is an active system) and the B5RC has no problems working with this guitar. The B5RC certainly works beautifully with passive pickups/mics.
Nux B5RC wireless system
By: Anonymous on 24 February 2020No more tripping over cables. No dropouts. Great sound quality and lasts quite a while on a charge. Great little product.
NUX B5RC 2.4Ghz Wireless Guitar System
By: Rod Bridges on 13 February 2020Purchased this wireless guitar system as I wanted something that was reliable and worked well. The NUX B5RC fits the bill perfectly. I walk around the house and do not have any dropouts, even through walls. Tested near my wireless modem and no problems at all. (This has not been the case with other systems I have tried). It is well built and has a nice solid feel to it. Little smaller than other systems and that is a bonus as well. Also the case that you store them in recharges the units when not in use, very handy. Very happy and would not hesitate to recommend it to any guitarist, bassist looking for a wireless system that just works as it should.
No drop outs
By: Anonymous on 21 January 2020I suppose time will ultimately tell but this wireless system has not given me drop outs, I had been thinking something else in line was causing the problem but had been using a cheaper wireless system so these may have proved where the issue was!...The recharge in the case idea is totally practical..I put a magnetic plug into the case mico usb port to make charging a matter of clipping on the lead. This is a totally practical solution to a useable no cable system with easy recharge in case! The case holds its own battery which will recharge units several times on its own

What is a cookie
We use cookies and URL information to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit and the information for which you searched and which you viewed on the Website. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing a web site. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Website. Persistent Cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions. Cookies may enable automatic logins when you visit in the future and may enable content customisation.
Some cookies are necessary to allow you to browse our Website, use its features, and access secure areas. The use of these cookies is essential for our Website to work.
We also use functional cookies to remember choices you’ve made or information you’ve provided, such as your username, language, or the region you are in. This allows us to tailor your website experience specifically to your preferences. For example, authentication cookies are functional cookies that are used for the duration of a session (or persistent, if you agree to the “remember me” function) to allow users to authenticate themselves on subsequent visits or to gain access to authorized content across pages. The functional cookies we use include:
• User-centric security cookies to detect authentication abuses for a limited persistent duration, like repeated failed login attempts. These cookies are set for the specific task of increasing the security of our Website.
• Multimedia content player session cookies (flash cookies) are used for the duration of a session to store technical data needed to play back video or audio content (e.g. image quality, network link speed, and buffering parameters).
• Load balancing session cookies are used for the duration of the session to identify the same server in the pool in order for the load balancer to redirect user requests appropriately.
• User interface customisation persistent cookies are used to store a user’s preference regarding a service across web pages.
We use many tools to help us improve our Website. To this end, we use reporting and analytics cookies to collect information about how you use our Website and how often. These cookies only gather information for statistical purposes and only use pseudonymous cookie identifiers that do not directly identify you. The performance cookies we use include:
• First party analytics cookies - we use these cookies to estimate the number of unique visitors, to improve our Website and to detect the most searched for words in search engines that lead to our Website. We use these cookies to learn how our Website is performing and make relevant improvements to improve your browsing experience.
• Third party analytics cookies - we also use Google Analytics and other third-party analytics providers listed below to help measure how users interact with our Website content. These cookies “remember” what our users have done on previous pages and how they’ve interacted with our Website. For more information on Google Analytics, visit Google’s information page. For instructions on how opt out of Google Analytics, see below.
Advertising cookies are used on our Website to tailor marketing to you and your interests and provide you with a more personalized service in the future. These cookies remember that you visited our Website and we may share this information with third-parties, such as advertisers. Although these cookies can track your device’s visits to our Website and other sites, they typically cannot personally identify you. Without these cookies, the advertisements that you see may be less relevant and interesting to you. Read more about how companies use cookies to conduct targeted or retargeted advertising here.
Social and Content cookies are placed by many social media plugins (for example the Facebook ’like’ button), and other tools meant to provide or improve the content on a website (for example services that allow the playing of video files, or that create comments sections). We integrate these modules into our Website to improve the experience of browsing and interacting with our Website. Please note that some of these third party services place cookies that are also used for things like behavioural advertising, analytics, and/or market research.
We also use third party vendor re-marketing tracking cookies, including:
• the Google Adwords tracking cookie;
• the Facebook Pixel; and
• SmartrMail tracking cookie.
You can opt out of Google's use of cookies or device identifiers by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Alternatively, you may visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or control the use of device identifiers by using your device’s settings.
Third parties, including Google may use cookies, web beacons, and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from the Service and elsewhere on the internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads. You can opt out of the collection and use of information for ad targeting using aboutads.info/choices
Many of the third party advertising and other tracking services listed above offer you the opportunity to opt out of their tracking systems. You can read more about the information they collect and how to opt out through the privacy policy links listed above.
To opt out of these communications please visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt out page.
How long will cookies remain on my computer or mobile device?
The length of time that a cookie remains on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing and persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted. Most of the cookies we use are persistent and will expire between 30 minutes and two years from the date they are downloaded to your device.
How do I control cookies?
You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Please keep in mind that removing or blocking cookies can negatively impact your user experience and parts of our Website may no longer be fully accessible.
Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose whether or not to accept cookies through your browser controls, often found in your browser’s “Tools” or “Preferences” menu. For more information on how to modify your browser settings or how to block, manage or filter cookies can be found in your browser’s help file or through such sites as: www.allaboutcookies.org.
Many of the third party advertising and other tracking services listed above offer you the opportunity to opt out of their tracking systems. You can read more about the information they collect and how to opt out through the privacy policy links listed above.
