Joyo R15 Revolution Series Preamp House Amp Simulator Guitar Effects Pedal

The Joyo Preamp House is a compact and user-friendly solution to many of your tone needs!

This great preamp offers some fantastic tone shaping and amp simulation alternatives in a single pedal that easily fits on your pedalboard. The R15 can be used as a DI pedal to connect to a mixing console or recording interface without needing to connect to an amplifier or if you prefer, plug into the front of your amp and push your tone to a whole new level.

Selecting which amp simulation to use is as easy as turning a knob. The pedal features the following amp simulations:

  • F 65 Twin Reverb
  • M JCM 900
  • V AC 30
  • MB LONESTAR
  • MB DUAL RECTIFIER
  • EVH 5150
  • ENG POWERBALL
  • OR TH 200
  • OR BE 100

The Joyo Preamp House features a built-in Impulse Response loaded 4 x 12 cab simulation. You can choose whether to have it either on or off, or switch the output to either the 6.3 jack output or the XLR output. The headphone out has the cab simulation on at all times.

To further enhance your tonal options, each preamp features both clean and distortion channels and the A&B footswitch allows you to easily switch between channels. The Preamp House also allows you to save your settings on both channels for all amp simulations.

You really should check this one out!

A lot of good amp sounds at hand

By: on 28 September 2023
I've had this preamp on my pedalboard for a couple of years now, mainly used as a clean preamp running into an class D power amp. I knew the distortion channel sounded good too but I already gave that job to my Mooer Blacktruck. Unfortunately last week at rehearsal my Mooer went into a flash of white light trough the headphones output and never came on again and took the noise gate with it. I then bought a new NG pedal and an OD and now I have 5 really good distortion sounds thanks to my Joyo R15. The JCM900, The Mesa dual, the EVH, the Bogner and the Friedman all sound different but all really good. i guess I'll settle for the sound that sits better in the mix with drums and bass. The cab sim sounds pretty good too. I had a kind of rhythmic noise in the background and it turned out to be the lights, they seem to create some noise at High gain settings so I turned them off and the noise is gone. Well worth the money and saves me having to carry a heavy guitar head to rehearsal and back.

Value for money

This pedal was well packaged and arrived within the estimated time frame. And although I haven't used all the features of this pedal I can confirm that running into a solid state power amp and 2x12 cabinet with a reverb in the effects loop it sounds awesome. The pick attack, quality and clarity are all there. If you're after something inexpensive, simple to use and decent quality this is a great option.

Important! Despite the product description, this is NOT A DISTORTION PEDAL!! I have been using the mooer micro preamp pedals for a while now, and this is like a best of play list. The functionality is amazing, and the built-in fx loop is fantastic! Headphone out is a bonus, and the ability to load your own IR makes this thing epic for amp-less guys like me. This is basically everything I wanted from a Mooer Preamp Live, but about 70% cheaper! Joyo and Nux are absolutely killing it for budget players. The closest product I've seen in comparison, would be the Hotone Binary Amp. Similar price, similar features, but the Joyo won out on functionality. Sounds killer if you use it as intended.
