Quality Board but forget the Space-Wasting and Fid

The Guitto board is very well-made and the bag is of quality. There is plenty of room for pedals, but the clamps are a problem. They certainly hold onto the pedal safely when correctly fixed -- you could hang from the ceiling by your pedalboard, if you are so inclined, but they waste space. Even if you have only a few pedals, space is still important, because these clamps increase the distance between pedals which results in rear-connecting large-sized pedals being too far apart to use the standard pre-made jumper leads. For example: fitting the Joyo Gembox III alongside another rear-connecting pedal, means that the output of the Joyo only just reaches the input of the next pedal, but eclipses the adjacent ports on the JOYO pedal. (The left and right outputs are not the leftmost sockets) If you still want/need this sort of layout, then you have two choices: 1) use longer jumper leads which often are too long (requiring extra cable to be hidden below the pedalboard), or 2) throw the fiddly Guitto clamps away and use Velcro like everyone else does. My choice was the latter. The Guitto clamps are clever and strong, but take a long time to set up, even longer to change (if you are changing to a different width pedal) and, most importantly, increase the gap between the pedals. Would I recommend the GPB02 Pedalboard? Yes. Would I recommend using the Guitto Clamps with the board? No, but that really depends if you mind your pedals spaced wide apart and don't mind using longer patch leads. For me, I went to Bunnings and bought Velcro and am happy. Happy pickin' and keep grinnin'.
