Artist PMH100EQ Solid Wood Parlour Acoustic Electric & Hard Case

Inspired by vintage parlour guitars, the PMH100EQ uses Solid Mahogany for its Body and a 5 piece neck to provide a rich and mellow timbre from a comfortable smaller body. With the smaller body of a 38" Parlour paired with the 25.5" scale length and neck of a full-size 41" guitar, the PMH100EQ feels like a mini Dreadnought in the hands and sounds like nothing else in our range. The traditional scalloped X-bracing and dovetail neck-join provide great resonance, and this guitar has a 2-way truss rod for easy adjustment. The bone nut and saddle, set into the Laurel fingerboard and bridge, provide fantastic tonal transfer to really get the most out of the mahogany, and this guitar comes strung with D'Addario EXP16 strings.

This instrument is fitted with the compact Fishman INK+ preamp, which has a large screen built-in tuner, phase switch, 4-band EQ, and a Sonicore pickup.

The little guitar that could!

I received the guitar on saturday and I had been wondering is it as good as the reviews said. I was very impressed with the build, setup and finish of the guitar. I have a Cole Clarke FL2 I used as my main guitar but wanted a smaller one for the couch that was still easy to play with great sound that wouldn't break the bank. I tried quite a few little guitars around the traps but took a risk and purchased based on reviews. No other parlour guitar I tried came close to the performance for the price IMO. I have purchased another guitar from Artist previously which was also great (Telecaster) so I though the risk of buying without trying was small. It seems to have a very big sound for the size (to my ear) and I was going back and forth on both of my acoustic guitars checking this one out as it surprised me. Long story short - you wont be dissapointed with one of these.

Looks beautiful, sounds beautiful and beautiful to

Just received my PMH100EQ Solid Wood Parlour Acoustic Electric and couldn’t be happier. This is a great little guitar with an open, honest sound befitting early blues or old-time bluegrass. Played acoustically it is surprisingly loud for a small body guitar and has a warm dark tone, probably due to being all solid mahogany. Visually it has an understated elegance with simple attractive binding and period appropriate open geared tuners. The Fishman INK-501 Preamp with a built-in tuner and phase switch is unobtrusive but provides excellent control and reproduction of the full and rich natural tones. The fact that the lead plugs in separately from the strap button and next to the battery compartment as in all Artist guitars, is so convenient that I now look for that feature in selecting any new guitars. The action was great and the neck and fret ends were smooth and lovely to play straight out of the box. And it came with a solid and well upholstered hard case. Incredible value for money. What more can I say? Looks beautiful, sounds beautiful and beautiful to play. Thanks for a great guitar.

Great at any price

Saw the Burgs review a couple of days ago. Ordered and received less than 24 hours later from Sydney to Brisbane. Out of the box it was exceptional. It looks great and played superbly. Intonation was also near perfect. Those strings help. Lovely warm and large sound. Incredible resonance. Better than my all cedar 27 year old Seagull. Pickup good as is the tuner. Would normally take to a Tech for a set up, however don’t believe it’s needed. When you consider the Fishman is worth over $200 and the case about $100, the guitar is superb value. Both my other acoustics age at least twice as costly and a blind test with my wife had this the winner. Very happy at this stage. Thanks Burgs.

Photos don't do this work of art justice

Wow!! Simply just wow! This is the second Artist guitars acoustic I have purchased the first being a solid top cedar dreadnought. I was so impressed with that guitar that I had to dip my toes into the solid wood pool that Artist offers. I wanted a parlor size so I can have my guitar with me everywhere and especially for sitting on my recliner playing while I watch TV or do just about anything. After hearing the mahogany top jumbo they are selling I knew I really wanted that choice of tone wood and man can I say it is such an awesome choice. This guitar not only looks like a million bucks it also sounds like a million. More than impressed in fact when the top of the line OM comes back onto stock with the supernatural pick up I will have to add that to the collection. Once again more than happy with Artist guitars. Thanks guys!!
