Artist AS72 White Paisley Relic Electric Guitar w/ Hand-Made Pickups

Dig beneath the ordinary and reveal the extraordinary. The Artist AS72 comes bounding through time, from the paddocks of Woodstock 1969 into your waiting hands - but not without a quick stop off to catch up with the times! We painstakingly relic'd the vintage-style nitrocellulose finish on these, adding a scar here and a gash there to give your brand-new guitar that well-loved look. The roasted maple satin neck is topped with a rosewood fretboard, a material becoming rarer by the day within the worldwide guitar market. The 14" fingerboard radius allows for super low action and effortless bends, while glow-in-the-dark fret markers on the side of the neck map the fretboard on even the darkest of pub stages.

Having tested untold amounts of pickup options, we settled on a set of high-end, hand-made pickups wound by the Laohao workshop, a small team producing low-quantity batches of custom pickups to a frankly unbelievable standard. The bridge humbucker provides a bit more bite than your average S-type guitar, while the neck and middle positions sound that familiar quack we all know and love. Each AS72 comes with copper shielding, making it whisper quiet when you're not playing!

A bone nut, locking tuners, strap locks, and a modern-style bridge will keep your tuning stable, and your guitar strapped to your shoulder... you won't want to scratch your new favourite guitar!

There may be slight variations between the paisley finishes on each AS72. This is due to the paisley finish being applied by hand.

Astonishing value

I have had this guitar for about a month. I have been playing it every day since it arrived. Every time I pick it up I don't want to put it down. It sounds even better than it looks, and it looks incredible. The bridge pick up is an absolute fire breather. All of the pick ups are highly versatile & obviously very high quality. I made some adjustments to the guitar when it arrived. A couple of the strings were a bit rusted so I put new strings on (which I always do when I buy a new guitar). There was a little bit of fret buzz so I adjusted the action until it was perfect. This did not take very long. This is my 4th instrument from Artist Guitars. I love them all but this guitar is definitely my favourite. I would definitely recommend this guitar even if it was 3 times the price.

I preordered my AS72 a few months before it was released and I didn’t really know what to expect. The price seemed too good to be true and too good not to try. I was amazed at the quality of this guitar when I first played and am still amazed every time I play it. I had a couple of dead notes which seemed to be caused by a slight backbow on the neck. I don’t see this as a problem at all. Maybe a slight oversight at the factory but these things happen and it can be checked without the use of any specialty tools and can be remedied with the tools supplied with the guitar. Every guitarist should learn how to do this anyway. Everything on this guitar works as it should. It stays in tune. The pickups sound unreal. The neck is comfortable and quite thin. I’d usually prefer a 9.5” radius as the 14” is fairly flat but I’m use to it now. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; This is a good guitar regardless of price. It punches well above its weight and I think I will have it for a long time.
