Very impressive!

Honestly holds up perfectly when compared to some of the far more expensive OD pedals I have. Well built and great transparent sound.

Blues driver in a mini pedal at a mini price - wit

The NUX mini core series pedals are terrific value for money. Definitely tone polishers, not tone suckers. I am buying the set!!

Awesome sounding Bluesbreaker clone

By: on 29 December 2020
This nux “morning star” sounds great on it’s own, and before other fuzz & overdrive pedals. (I’d guess they’re copying a morning glory pedal, which itself is a bluesbreaker clone). On it’s own with the gain between 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock it makes my little joyo 5watt champ clone, set with a low volume, sound nice and gritty (it’s smoother and not as raw and spluttery as the same amp cranked to tube-breakup-volume). Running it before a big muff, or tone machine, or tone bender or fuzzrite gives it a nice extra texture and I think I like it more than the nux horseman -a Klon clone- both on it’s own and before other drive pedals. And paired with the horseman it’s gets me into some sweet and classic blues & rock sounds. (Have only used it with a les Paul so far, but am very happy with it. Also, it’s a tiny pedal, about the size of the littlest ditto looper so it doesn’t take up much space)
