Artist Spiritus7 Black 7 String Electric Guitar w/ Humbuckers

The Artist Spiritus7 is the perfect introductory 7-string guitar to take you on your journey into the world of low-tuned Metal and Djent. This guitar has a black gloss Poplar body, a Canadian Maple Bolt-on neck, a black anodized tune-o-matic bridge, and a string-thru-ferrule tail for the best sustain possible. The controls are simple and effective - 1 volume, 1 Tone, and a 3-way selector.

With its moderate-high output, passive open-coiled ceramic humbuckers, this guitar will have a tight low-end, and that familiar lower-mid growl that some of the more expensive guitars on the market have; crucial to low-tuned Heavy Metal and Hardcore styles. The new and improved bridge for 2024 is anodized rather than painted, meaning less ground noise!

Great value for money, 100% recommend

By: on 30 July 2024
I bought this guitar wanting to venture into the seven string world without blowing too much on a guitar that I might end up not using. I already had a custom artist strat kit guitar, and had nothing but good experiences with it, so I decided to give the Spiritus a crack for the low price. Man, did this thing deliver. I absolutely love this guitar, it plays amazing and sounds fantastic. For the price, this guitar is a no-brainer for anyone who wants to try out a seven string guitar. In my experiences, Artist provide unbeatably affordable guitars that aren’t junk, and have some decent quality parts in them. I would recommend this to anyone considering it, with no hesitation.

A solid intro to the 7-string universe

By: on 5 May 2024
I’ve wanted to play/learn a 7-string for a while, but have always been priced out of trying - enter artist guitars. At $270, if I really didn’t like it I wouldn’t have felt guilty! One of Artist guitars big selling points for me is being able to affordably own and dabble with guitars that are variations on what you’re used to - I can have a baritone, a PRS copy without the price tag, a fretless bass, a multiscale… I’ve no doubt every six stringer would be able to find something that might challenge them or reinvigorate their playing. I read the reviews (there were a few very honest reviews), but I ultimately decided that for $270 I’d risk it for the biscuit. Well, this risk was like receiving a never ending packet of tim tams! I opened it up, tuned it up, plugged it in and began my foray into the 7-string universe. The action was nice, it looks very good, and it sounded totally reasonable to my ears - though I hadn’t really played heavy styles nor had I played a 7-string before, so I have no metric for comparison. But, after playing for a bit when I opened, I was smitten. I picked it up again an hour later, and when I went through and gave it the comprehensive check over, I noticed that there was a pretty awful buzz on the D and G strings at fret 12. No buzz on these strings at fret 11 or 13, which made me think that one of the frets beyond the 12th was a bit high. I don’t have the tools to diagnose or fix this, plus I didn’t want to void any warranty, so I emailed artist guitars about this. They emailed back within 10 minutes, and I booked a time to go into the showroom to have it checked out. The staff member in the showroom was great. He diagnosed the problem and it was exchanged it for a brand new one on the spot. The showroom is very cool - lots of guitars and amps to browse, and this meant that the short wait for the warehouse to pick my new guitar went very quickly. We checked the guitar out - the replacement was immaculate. No buzz, no blemishes, and it played great straight out of the box. At the end of the experience, I couldn’t be happier with the product for the price and the service I received with the issue I had. If you’re wanting to try a 7-string, don’t bother looking elsewhere… buy this one.
