Artist SS91 Matte Black Electric Guitar w/ Coil-Splitting HMP Pickups

The Artist SS91 is a premium-grade, take no prisoners, rock machine! With some serious specs this killer instrument shoots well above it’s price-tag!

The Mahogany body has an Open-Pore Matte Black finish, a carved arm-contour and super-high neck access. The carved ergonomic Maple neck is comfortable, fast and smooth in the hand, and features 24 Jumbo frets over a 25.5” scale length on an Eco-Rosewood fretboard. Also featuring an iconic reverse headstock, this modern-style guitar is tied together with Shark-Tooth inlays and Matte Black hardware.

Our matte-covered, passive, coil-splitting Artist HMP humbuckers are in both the bridge and neck positions, and we include a superior string-through hardtail bridge and 43mm bone Nut. The switch and simple volume and tone controls are strategically placed for easy adjustability whilst playing, so you can switch from soaring leads back to a thumping rhythm tone in a flash, and the coil-splitting humbuckers provide a huge tonal range!

This guitar comes factory-strung with D'Addario 9–42 gauge strings

Just wow straight out of the box it screams quality, the fretwork is great no sharp ends polished well very easy to setup for low action literally loosened the truss 1/4 turn cause of slight back bow and lowered the strings to 1.25mm high e 1.5mm low e with no buzz or fret out. This thing is stable tuning wise with the hardtail bridge and with a slim comfy 24 jumbo fret neck its a shredders dream!

I bought this guitar for the high school I work at - the price point was just right for a guitar that would be used by students, and my personal experience with the quality of Artist Guitars made them an easy choice when buying for a high school. When I took it out of the box, I was floored. The finish on the body is stunning. Matched with the black hardware and blackout style pickups, it is a seriously good looking guitar. I thought surely it wouldn't sound as good as it looked, but Artist guitars keep surprising. Sounds like a humbucker should, and particularly thick and rich with a bit of amp gain. This one will tick the boxes of the students who want to rock, for sure! It ticked the box of our resident metalhead music teacher!

SS 91

I purchased this guitar as a customer returned and paid $215 The guitar arrived and I was surprised that it was in mint condition. The guitar stays in tune through a hard work out for a couple of days. The neck is super quick and fantastic and is better to play than my Fender AM/Strat. The sound is outstanding and my guitar came with a 5 position switch not the advertised 3 position switch. Which imo is better and provides excellent tone choses. I have small hands and this guitar is perfect for me. Exceptional value for money
