Artist AP58J TV Yellow Left-Handed Electric Guitar w/ P90 Pickups

The Artist AP58J is a premium double-cutaway guitar. If you're looking for a minimalist rock and roll dream machine, this AP58J is the choice for you; punchy mids, beefy highs and a very cool finish!

It features a timeless TV Yellow finish over a solid African Mahogany body, with a simple black scratchplate completing this classic look. The Mahogany set neck has a high-grade Eco-Rosewood fretboard, Dot Mother of Pearl Inlays, 22 frets in a 24.75"scale length, and a comfortable C-shape radius.

The AP54J also features a Wilkinson wrap-around bridge, with adjustable bridge posts and saddles to lock in your intonation, and the 43mm Bone nut and Chrome machine heads will keep you in tune through any Rolling Stones covers set! With a single dog-ear P90 in the bridge position, the AP58J has some serious bite, and we have used premium-grade hardware to ensure the tone and volume controls are responsive to the touch.

With just a single Volume and Tone knob, this guitar has a surprising tonal range for those willing to experiment with their controls. Alternatively, this is the perfect guitar to just turn everything up, plug into a cranked amp, and let rip!

This comes strung from the factory with D'Addario EXL110 strings.

Awesome guitar I was waiting for.

Amazing guitar! It looks and feels awesome!! Such a brilliant guitar and a beautiful sound. I loved it as soon as I saw the righty version, and hoped that Artist would release a lefty and as soon as they did I pre ordered one. The delivery date couldn’t come quick enough! I love everything about this guitar and it’s definitely one of my favourites that I own, it’s just a fun, cool, amazing sounding budget guitar that makes me smile.

Wow!

This is the second Artist guitar I've bought, and I doubt it will be the last! It came ready to play out of the box, and sounds like a thousand dollar rock machine. Guitars at this price point shouldn't be this good.

Lives up to the hype

I'll be honest; this thing isn't my first or second Artist. It isn't even my 5th or 6th. My first Artist, a lefty grungemaster affectionately known as Emily, came around seven or eight years and since then I have, to the certain chagrin of my friends and loved ones by this point, sung praise from every roof and mountaintop that will have me. These tidbits are not to gloat obviously, this is simply just to illustrate my faith in the brand. Not being bestowed with a whole heap of 'play money' means I need to trust where I put the money I do have to spend on such luxuries. Artist have always been an impressive bang for buck situation. It is because of this, that my hype and expectations were high upon finally having the chance to pre-order the AP58JL. It had been the longest time since I have wanted this style of guitar, so finally having an opportunity to get one, in a lefty no less, was an oft talked about (have I already used familial chagrin?) excitement. The timely, and openly communicated, delivery through the Aramex company came ahead of schedule (there has been many an opinion left in the FB designers forum about Aramex, but I have lost count of the deliveries I've had with them and not a single problem) and that day at work couldn't have taken longer to finish so I could get home. After a brief yet slightly daunting apprehension surrounding the truss rod and string height (a rare blip not only in my Artist journey but from what I hear about these specific models), and having had a few days now to really sink in and see what this thing can do, I can honestly say I absolutely love it! The tones, despite only having one pickup, are really versatile. Like, it's a Swiss army knife and then some. Jazz, punk, rock, blues, metal. I have given this thing everything. Currently mine is tuned to Eb, and I am getting some great tones out of it. The ergonomic design, both sitting and standing, is awesome. This thing ticks all boxes Thank you, Artist. This guitar may very well become my new #1, and my current #1 is that first Artist I ever got.

How much did I pay for this guitar? This is madness for under $300 First impressions: It feels like a $1000 guitar, not a $300 guitar. Great finish, nice weight, lovely fretwork. First guitar in ANY price range that I've bought new and haven't had to set up. Plays great straight outta the box and the P90 fans will love winding one up loud. Thanks Artist team you really nailed it :)
