Why choose Artist Guitars?

At Artist Guitars, we want everybody to be able to play a great quality instrument without breaking the bank, and so our mission is to always provide the best value instrument on the market—it may not be the lowest price guitar you'll find, but we guarantee that the build materials, specifications, and quality control will always make an Artist guitar stand far above what the price tag may suggest.

When we need to decide what products are going to have the Artist logo on them, we have one question at the front of our mind: "What does the customer want?" We always try to put ourselves in our customers' shoes and ask what we'd want to see if we were looking for a new guitar online. For new guitarists, we have beginner packs with every accessory you need to open the box and start rocking out immediately; for seasoned players, we have solid instruments with upgrades you might find on guitars two or three times the price.

How can we do this and still keep the business running? The main way we keep costs down is that we are a 'direct-to-consumer' business; if you buy an Artist guitar, you're buying it directly from us, without it having gone through multiple hands (such as an agent, importer, retailer, etc.). All of these little steps add up when a regular music store sells dozens of different brands' guitars—since we focus solely on selling Artist guitars, we pass them directly from the factory to you, keeping the price as low as possible. We also work closely with the factories in China to find the perfect middle ground between affordability and instrument build. This involves searching far and wide for the best combination of parts that go into the build—all these steps happen behind the scenes, with the end result being that you have an affordable instrument with high-quality components.

Our musical equipment is designed for players of all levels, from beginners to seasoned musicians. We put great emphasis on our quality control with a dedicated QC team checking over every single guitar that leaves the factory, making sure that the products we receive meet our high standards. We are so confident in our guitars that we offer a 100-day satisfaction guarantee on all of our products and include a 3-year warranty on most items!

Our Customer Happiness team are able to help around the clock via the live chat on our website, email or free phone line. If you aren’t sure if Artist is the right company to buy from, just give us a call and we’ll be happy to help choose the right product for you!

Consistently high-quality guitars

Artist Guitars QC ImageAt Artist Guitars, we pride ourselves on delivering great quality instruments; this includes the construction of the guitar, as well as the quality control that happens before each instrument is boxed and shipped to you. Every guitar endures rigorous testing in the development and prototype stages to bring it to a level where we are confident that the guitar you receive is the best it can be.

All of our guitars are set up in the factory to a standard that suits beginners, though they are constructed in a way that allows you to easily adjust them to suit your own playing style; we aim for a general setup that should suit the average player, but we also provide the necessary tools (such as allen wrenches) to allow you to set up a new guitar to your own preference.

Our Quality Control team, headed by Leo, works closely with the factory in China to identify any issues in the way guitars are manufactured, set up, handled, and packaged. If the guitars do not pass the check, they will not be shipped; however, we occasionally have instruments that have very minor cosmetic blemishes, but are otherwise perfectly functional. These guitars are “Factory Seconds”, and it can often be difficult to even find the fault!

We treat this process very seriously because it enables us to develop better production and handling techniques and reduce the number of Factory Seconds. Along with these steps, we're also constantly listening to customer feedback, applying little tweaks to the designs here and there to end up with the best guitars we can imagine!

Best quality for the best price

At Artist Guitars, we build what we think are the best quality instruments for the best price. We use features of much more expensive instruments, and as a result, our instruments sound and feel better than most other brands, in our opinion. For example, every one of our classic guitar models comes with a truss rod. No other guitar brand delivers a truss rod in our price range. Some of our guitars use Fishman pre-amps, D'Addario strings, a bone nut and saddle, solid tone woods, locking tuners and Wilkinson pickups. This level of components is unheard of at this price, and it is our passion to bring you the highest quality for the best price that we can!

At Artist Guitars, we build what we think are the best quality instruments for the best price. This includes specifications that you'd normally find on guitars three or four times the price: for example, many of our Signature electric guitars include a bone nut, locking tuners, stainless steel frets, coil-splitting pickups, and so on. If you're buying a beginner instrument, we make sure it still has fundamentally important specs, like a truss rod, which are often omitted from other affordable instruments.

“While doing my research, I discovered that big-name brands typically aim to cut construction costs, resulting in a
sacrifice in the quality of their equipment. You'd be surprised at the type of factories some big-name brands choose
to use, and as a guitarist, this is disappointing to see.”

“Let me tell you a little about how I got into this industry…”

“I'm passionate about guitars, I've always loved them. I wanted to be a rock star, but I worked out pretty early that it probably wasn't going to happen for me. (Mind you, if you have your own dream of being a rock star, then you should go for it!). Even if I would never “make it”, I wanted to stay in the industry and find my sweet spot combining the two things I loved: music and design.

I have over twenty-five years of experience in the industry. I've spent seventeen of those years visiting factories, and three of those years actually living in China, visiting multiple factories and teaching the factory technicians how to build a better guitar. There was one factory in particular that I worked with from its inception, which has now become a high-quality instrument manufacturer. This is where Artist Guitars are built.
