Ernie Ball 2230 Slinky 8-40 12 string Nickel Elect

While they may be easier to play don't sound in tune when playing up the neck using a Capo. I think using the 9-46 Bronze 12 strings tuned down to D with a Capo on 2 fret works better.

Something a bit different.

Grabbed a set of these to try out as 12 string electric options seem to be dwindling of late. I love the feel and tone - they are a really decent string. Perhaps that is to be expected from EB's, but I've branched out with 12 string options in the past and have been bitterly disappointed with tone and or life of strings that should do better when compared to their 6 string lines. Way lighter than I'd normally like, but the main point of difference is in the brightness under the fingers and the fast feel of the fretting hand. I like them; will definitely keep a set around for the odd change up!

I have been to the local music stores and online everywhere only to find most 12 string electric sets upward of $60. For most of my other 7 gutiars, I use Ernie Ball slinkys or Jazz or some other type to suit the instrument I didn't even get the Ernie Ball 12 string option until the Artist Guitar site offered it for an awesome value price and it was here within the week. I was swapping out some broken tuning/machine heads so I needed a reliable 12 string set to put on (anyone owning a 12 string will understand why when it comes to strings, it's not just a usual six-string demand on reliability) and having Ernie Ball as my go-to anyway I was stoked.
