*UPDATE*

I have owned this pedal for about a year now. As my other review states, I was pretty happy with the pedal at first. However, over time the pedal has become pretty much stuffed. One of the tension springs snapped in half, as did a pin holding a universal together. There is now a ridiculous amount of play between the slave pedal and the beater, to the point of it being unplayable. I have done my best to maintain this pedal, and have always been realitively gentle with it, but it’s just crap quality and does not last.

Terrible quality.

As you can see in the above reviews, the beaters are soft and most double kicks are purchased for metal drumming. I accepted that replacing the beaters was necessary and moved on from that issue. Now I have played ONE gig, treating the pedals relatively gently as I am not a very hard player, the shaft that connects both pedals snapped in 2 places 10 minutes into our 40 minute set. Making do with just the one kick was not ideal. Also the drum key provided with the pedals snapped on the first use when tightening the nuts. Not happy at all. I understand you get what you pay for, but don't sell products assembled and constructed so poorly that they break like a twig when being used normally/carefully, even.

Great pedal

First of all, I was very pleased with the delivery time (4 working days to get to Hobart). The pedal was packaged very well, and none of the parts were damaged. The pedal was fairly easy to put together, however some instructions wouldn’t have gone astray and I imagine it would be difficult to assemble for someone who isn’t familiar with them. Upon closer inspection I noticed a few small imperfections in the chrome, but that isn’t really much of an issue. I was pleasantly surprised at how adjustable the pedal is. The only bad thing about the adjustability is that certain things, such as the beater angle, had to be adjusted with an Allen key rather than a drum key. That’s only a small inconvenience though. Once I set the pedal up on the kit (which was very easy thanks to the great hoop clamp), I had to swap the beaters over with the ones on my old pedal. The beaters provided no volume, and were way too small and light. Most of the people that buy a double pedal play metal, and the beaters that came with the pedal just don’t cut it. Aside from that though, the pedal was amazing. It has a very strong and durable build, and was very smooth and easy to play. The foot boards were a little too small for my liking, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. Overall, it’s a great pedal that’s brilliant value for money. The only thing that’s really wrong with it is the beaters. Now I’ll just have to see if it withstands the test of time.

ARTIST BPTW2000 - HIGH GRADE DOUBLE KICK PEDAL Ama

This pedal works perfectly and is amazing for playing with because You can bring it anywhere with out it breaking - I do it without a case because I don’t have one, but it is strong. You can drum with really nice extra fills and annotations to your music when you get used to it. It is just amazing and gives an extra bass drum without buying another drum Looks cool Sounds great on all drums Easy to set up but sometimes confusing if you are new with drums the postage is quick and spot on and packaging is perfect. The feel is great and is easy to play It is much much cheaper than any other shops but having just as good condition and sound and feel as a $600 one. The only thing I would recommend is if it could come with instructions next time, because some parts where a little bit confusing when you are just winging it. Thanks
