I’ve played guitar for about a year prior but have been borrowing a family members ibanez guitar that was worth 3 times the price of this. Out of the box it was amazing and so much better than the ibanez despite the price no joke. Feels amazing and looks great sounds amazing with any genre but sounds so good with thrash and black metal cheers artist.

A Not-So-Stealthy Performer

By: Dylan G on 18 January 2023For the price of this guitar it really plays well. Holds in tune pretty good feels really smooth and very lightweight. Great for metal riffs. The pickups are goood all though they don’t have the classic Emg active pick up tone, more of a tight attack on these Artist pickups but not as much power as you’d get from an EMG or fishman pickup. But overall a great and fun guitar to play on! Bargain.

By: Tom on 7 January 2022I initially bought this guitar during the over-stock sale for a really cheap price, thinking I was going to use it as a mod project guitar - but after having it for a little bit I think I'm just going to leave it as is! This guitar is very well put together, especially considering the low price - I'm actually pretty surprised. Frets are done well - still need a little bit of attention, but that's to be expected with most guitars in this price range! The black chrome hardware looks awesome and seems to hold tuning. The pickups sound great, which was surprising given they are cheaper actives! All mahogany body/neck feels solid, and the satin finish is really nice. If you're thinking about getting one of these, just do it, you won't regret it.

A 'Wow Factor' Guitar LP6

Good little Chugger
By: Raymond Martin on 27 December 2021This is my 5th Artist electric. The action's quite nice, it looks good and there are no ugly parts. It's my first guitar to have active pickups, and I generally like the sound clean and distorted, however I prefer the TC59 for everything except metal. The fret ends aren't sharp although the frets aren't super smooth so bends feel a little scratchy. For the price I can't knock it, which is why I keep buying them. The 24.5inch scale is a point of difference.

By: Amdrew on 12 October 2021Straight out of the box it needed minor adjustments, including a fret polish, tightening of the pots and action/intonation adjustments, after that fairly simple set up she's pretty much set, I've owned the indominus8 and the artist 7string of a similar black and grungy style and I loved both, this is just another bang for your buck option for high gain metal, very well done guys

By: Ryan kurnia on 6 October 2021So my bro got the tc59 from artist and was amazed by quality, that made me check out what they had, i usually play jackson pro series and ltds.. and this lp6 keeps up with them, active pups work great love my emg and SD Blackouts.. and these stock pups sound pretty sick.. for 299, crazy what you get quality up there with my 1500-2000$ axes

I got it for my studio as I wanted an E standard guitar and it definitely holds up to my Cort EVL K6 and My PRS Paul Allender Signature Model guitars which retail at like 4x the cost. It's really nice to play plus it sounds mean! Funnily enough, it came basically already tuned to Drop C (I was lazy so I tuned the strings to closest pitch for the play around) and it was really quite surprising that the 10-46s it came with could hold tune.

Artist Stealth LP6 Matte Black
By: Danny on 21 August 2021I recently bought the Artist LP6 matte black guitar and I gotta say when I un-boxed it, it looked awesome. The Construction is really well done, plugged it in to the amp gave it a tune up and wow this as a standard set-up from the factory was really well done the sound was very surprisingly clear and precise. I saw this guitar on a YouTube video and I thought I gotta get me one of these so I ordered one online and got Australia Post to deliver it, it took a little longer to come out then I thought but that was due to the lockdowns that we have in Australia atm. Artist you guys have done a great job and yes you have a new repeated customer. I think now after receiving this awesome piece of art of a guitar I think I will be buying the reissue LP59 and a few of your effetcs. Thank you Artist, keep on being an awesome company that you are.

It arrived...today - CouriersPlease didn’t ring the doorbell so I had to go...yeah oUt to Pick It Up. Well I’m Glad I Did because this Guitar really is Great for how much you spend - I thought the Input Jack was a bit too hard to take the Lead out of, but worked a bit better when I turned the lead at the same time as I pulled - I don’t know.Maybe They Don’t Want Us To Stop Playing - I thought not that bad for Security if you want though I guess. DanELecTrO 9V BatteRy fOr Non-Metal Classic Tonez. Had a good time Playing the Stealth through a Line6 Spider V Practice Amp...Clear With Gain At Full.Nice Clean Sounds & All Around Good SOUND. However, the pickups and general sound of the guitar is made for metal.... don't buy this and expect to play death cab for cutie on it.... it's for hard rock and metal.... that's it!

It's made for metal and has no worries achieving it! Like all new guitars, it will require a set up... but straight out of the box was pretty good! I've had fenders in worse condition! Just get it, you won't be disappointed!

Great for Metal

It did need a bit of set up, the action was way too high and the harmonics were out, but after dealing with these small issues it was good to go. The only "negative" thing i can say is this is not a "versatile" guitar. This is built for metal, as in HEAVY metal. If you play any other style this may not be the guitar for you. As for the quality of the guitar, as per usual for Artists signature guitars, it's superb and amazing value. One outstanding feature of this guitar is the 3rd knob. It has a volume for each pick up and then the 3rd knob is a gain boost for the active pickups. Great for boosting your solo without needing a pedal.

LP 6 Stealth

Crisp, well built and gorgeous to look at, it plays like a dream. The quality has blown me away, and for its price it plays like a $2000 guitar. Very highly recommended to a seasoned player or a beginner.

I bought this based on the reviews & YouTube videos I had watched.To say I am impressed is an understatement , this thing is a beast & for $299 it is a WINNER!!! I have only bought from Artists Guitars once previously & that was an Epic Custom which was a low end Electric but suited its purpose at the time & has since been handed down to my 2nd oldest to begin his guitar journey.i spent a little more on this & with the 100 day free return policy I didn't stand much to lose so went ahead with the buy. This thing is a MONSTER!!! Has a great finish,feel & sound !!! I doubt anyone would be disappointed at this price point & a testament to how good these are they have already sold out with the half dozen they just got in stock.if my boy continues with the guitar I will get him one of these down the road. I am stocked with my 2nd purchase from Artist Guitars thanks guys for such an awesome guitar at an affordable price. I am already looking to purchase a couple other guitars & products from you guys mainly the LP Gold top & Blue Cloud ST. I am sure they will be of a high standard as well! superb LP style guitar

The only thing I have done so far was to lower the action a little as I prefer a low action. I intend to purchase other examples from Artist in the near future.
Great fit, finish and play-ability
By: Anonymous on 5 May 2020I love this guitar. The matte black finish is really nice and allows smooth playing up and down the neck. Thin D shaped neck suits my smaller hands and/or shredders. I think the narrow headstock and tapering tuners allow it to hold a tune way better than I was expecting. White and black 3 stripe binding gives it a little more detail up close. And it arrived on my doorstep in Melbourne the next day. I couldn't be happier.

Worth the wait??
By: Anonymous on 23 April 2020I ordered my guitar and it took some time to arrive, about 2 weeks (not through any fault of Artist Guitars)...so was it worth the wait?? HELL YES!! I love this guitar. I have played on a friends Gibson Les Paul prior to ordering this guitar and this feels better in my hands than the Gibson. The sound is fantastic, the quality just as good. If you want a Les Paul style guitar this is the one you should be ordering. I use this to record and gig and it is my got to guitar. Thank you Artist Guitars - a great Aussie company!!
